A caregiver, also known as a personal care aide, will assist the disabled client. The primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for clients by helping them maintain independence and providing emotional support while performing daily tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating
- Medication Management: Help clients take medications as prescribed and monitor adherence to healthcare plans
- Mobility Assistance: Support clients with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and exercising if needed.
- Household Management: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and maintain a safe living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities to reduce loneliness.
- Transport Assistance: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other errands.
- Monitoring Health: Observe and report changes in physical or mental health to family members or healthcare professionals
- Emergency Response: Provide first aid and contact emergency services if as necessary.
